Weather Channel Ipad
The app market makes available a wide variety of apps that can help you take advantage of all the capabilities that the iPad has to offer. If you are interested in a particular type of app, designed to periodically let you know about weather forecasts, you should consider downloading and installing an app called Weather Channel. When you launch for the first time this app, you will notice that weather expertise is wisely blended with an interactive interface. By checking out this app’s predictions in advance, you will be able to plan your activities without being as worried about rain chances.
If you are already a user of this weather app for iPad, you should consider updating it to the new version made available that comes with a brand new interface. The redesign of the Weather Channel app for iPad was considered not only because the developer was concerned about customer well-being, but also because the former interface is very similar to what you will see in Weather HD and Living Earth HD, two other iPad weather apps that are popular among iPad users.
You will notice that the new version has replaced the weather pane with an animated horizon photo. The current weather conditions as well as temperatures accurate for the city of your choice are displayed towards the top while additional details are located across the bottom. If you have chosen more than one target city, you will simply have to swipe left or right. In addition, in order to reveal the forecast and navigation menu all you will have to do is tap once. Afterwards, if you are interested only in the forecast of a certain day, you will simply have to tap on that day in order to gain access to the details pane associated.
The improvement has also affected the maps and radar section that was enriched with a zoom-out feature that transforms it into a 3D globe. This globe makes it possible to take a look at the satellite view of the terrain. Also updated was the news section that now is displayed in a grid-like layout. In this section you will gain access to TWC news as well as to the Twitter integration made available. Across the top you will notice a section dedicated to videos. The number of videos is three and one of them covers the local region forecast.
On the whole, although the Weather Channel app for iPad is not the best choice available on the market when it comes to interface and ease-of-use, the accuracy of its predictions keeps it among my preferences. However, I must say that the update should’ve been better thought.
