Ipad New Version
The best way to see the real power and performance of the iPad 3 is to compare it with the latest Android tablet released on the market, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. I’ve decided to compare their characteristics and find out which one deserves your money. Check out what I’ve discovered.

In terms of design, these two tablets look stylish and well build. Because of the not changed design of the iPad 3, the Galaxy Note 10.1 wins the first battle being slimmer and lighter than the iPad 3. That’s because the new iPad version measures 241.2 x 185.7 x 9.4mm and weighs 652 grams while the Galaxy Note 10.1 measures 256.7 x 175.3 x 8.6mm and weighs only 565 grams. When it comes to their displays, I must mention that each tablet offers a quality touchscreen of high resolution. The iPad 3 comes with a 9.7-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels which makes it the winner of this section. On the other hand, the Note 10.1 offers a 10.1-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.
Under the hood, these amazing tablets host powerful processors able to provide an incredible user experience. The new iPad is equipped with a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 16/32/64GB of storage. The Galaxy Note 10.1 is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 16/32/64GB of storage. Regarding the software department, you should know that these devices come with fast and stylish operating systems equipped with plenty of advanced features. The iPad 3 runs on iOS 5 while the Note uses Android 4.0 with the TouchWiz UI.
Another important aspect that needs to be taken into consideration refers to the cameras available on these tablets. You should first of all know that both tablets come with front-facing cameras of 0.3MP on the iPad and 2MP on the Note. However, when it comes to the primary camera, the iPad is in advantage because of its 5MP rear camera equipped with LED flash, advanced cameras settings and 1080p video recording capabilities at 30fps. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is able to offer only a 3MP rear facing camera equipped with LED flash and 720p video recording capabilities at 24fps.

Considering that Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity are pretty standard options these days, the iPad 3 can defeat the Note only because of its LTE feature that will be enjoyable for those who live in the USA and other countries with 4G mobile infrastructure. Overall, both tablets are impressive and high performance devices, but the iPad 3 has that “quelque chose” that catches your attention.
