One of the reasons why the iPad is a popular tablet is its ability to provide a great reading experience for any type of user. On this tablet you have the possibility to read all your favorite eBooks on the go by simply installing one of the various eBook reader apps available on the market. If you aren’t an experienced iPad user then you should check out the reader apps I’ve listed below and install the one which suits you best.

BlueFire Reader is my first suggestion because it’s a great reading app designed for ePub and PDF content that you can download from various online bookstores and libraries. This app comes with a user friendly interface and various features. It allows you to change the font size, brightness and page margins of the eBook you want to read. You also have the possibility to add bookmarks, annotations and highlighting. This app lets you shop at a variety of eBook retailers directly from the interface.

Another great eBook reader app is NOOK developed by Barnes & Noble. This app offers access to more than two million titles and is equipped with unique features in order to provide a great reading experience. For instance, the LendMe technology allows you to share your eBooks with your friends while the eBook Lifetime Library keeps your eBooks organized and easy to access. You can also customize your reading by changing the font size, text color and background. This app also lets you add notes and bookmarks and launch searches within the book. You can also use the built-in Merriam Pocket dictionary to find the meaning of a specific word.

You should also consider OverDrive Media Console which is the perfect way to get eBooks from libraries. This app offers both eBooks and audiobooks allowing you to access them from your public school or college library. It catches your attention with an attractive interface and easy to use controls. You even have the possibility to download DRM ePub eBooks from other online sources. This app also comes with a built-in dictionary and useful features.

Books-A-Million is another reader app that allows you to buy and read eBooks from the Booksamillion website. You can also download various PDF and ePub files and read them on your iPad within the same interface. To improve your reading experience you can easily change the font type and size, text color and brightness. This app allows you to tap/swipe to turn pages and browse your library using the list view option or colorful book covers.

These are only a few of the eBook reader apps that you can install on your iPad. Don’t forget about CloudReader and Kindle.
