The first iPad ad regarding the iPad 3 was released in March with the purpose of explaining the world why the new tablet version is worth purchasing. The main focus of this first new iPad ad is, as expected, the Retina Display in place that supports a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. This is actually the most advanced tablet touchscreen available on the market, at least when it comes to pixel density. That’s why the soothing voice in the ad tries to present as it as beautifully as possible by mentioning its vibrant colors and its ability to display “pin sharp” text. Overall, the voice concludes that the new screen simply makes everything more brilliant. What this first iPad 3 ad doesn’t mention is the A5X chip with quad-core graphics in place. You will also notice that there’s little focus on the new 5MP rear camera that is actually a serious improvement over the 0.7MP rear camera of the iPad 2.
If you aren’t that excited about the first iPad ad regarding the iPad 3, you should know that recently Apple has released a second ad. The release took place in the same time Microsoft unveiled two of its newest tablets. It’s like Apple is trying to say that the iPad 3 is still on the market and is still the better tablet, no matter what competition makes it on the market. This second ad focuses on letting you know all the things you can do with an iPad 3. Every single action from sending notes to staying informed and using the iPad as learning tool is mentioned. To make sure it proves its point, Apple has chosen to add to the narrator’s voice some colorful close-up images that reveal the capabilities of the touchscreen in place as well as the ease of use of completing various tasks. The entire action surprised in the ad is then summarized in one single phrase that proves once again that the main new feature of the iPad 3 is that gorgeous Retina Display: “Do it all more beautifully with the Retina display on iPad”.

From some points of view Apple is right that its tablet has the upper advantage when it comes to touchscreen quality because the Surface tablet unveiled by Microsoft offers in exchange for the same pricing a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels.
