At&t Ipad

If you decide that a Wi-Fi + 3G iPad purchased from AT&T is what you need, you will have to go through the process of activating the tablet and starting to use all of its capabilities, included the 3G support for which you have paid the extra money required. To help you determine the steps that you need to follow I’ve put together a complete description of the process of setting up a new cellular data account on your AT&T iPad.

The first thing that you will have to do is open your newly purchased iPad in order to tap Settings, Cellular Data and then View Account. After the Cellular Data Account window is displayed you will have to enter the information required or select the options of your interest. You will then have to tap Next. About the information that you will have to enter in order to get the 3G of your AT&T iPad working I can tell you that it includes user information (your first and last name as well as your phone number), login information (an email address and a password that are used to create your AT&T account), data plan information (meaning that you will have to choose the AT&T data plan of interest) and payment and billing information (necessary because you need to pay for the 3G service that AT&T is willing to make available).

After you’re done entering the information that’s important for setting up AT&T’s service on your iPad, you will be greeted by a screen that displays the Terms of Service agreement. I suggest you take a minute and actually read some of the details listed and only then tap Agree in order to move on, to the next screen that will help you start using 3G on your new AT&T iPad. You will notice that the next screen is a Payment Summary screen that tries to make sure your wishes were perfectly understood. If you notice any conflict between the data you’ve entered and the data displayed by this screen, you should immediately tap Back and make the necessary changes. What I must also mention is that you can use the Add International Data button displayed on this screen in order to add to your account an International data plan. It may seem unusual, but if you want to use your AT&T iPad outside the US, you will have to sign up for the international data plan of choice while still in the US.

After you make sure that all settings have been properly made, you should tap Submit and wait until your Cellular Data account is created (the Congratulations screen is loaded and the OK button is displayed).
